Thumb Angola ride...

Wow! What a ride! I had to take several breaks just to settle down after reading certain sections, like the rocks, did I say rocks? And the ride along the ocean - whew! Good Job Mates.

Truly amazing. The more I read about other people's experiences in Africa the more I am drawn there. I hope one day to be able to experience it by motorcycle

Fantastic story

Thank you for this amazingly personal, informative, and at times suspenseful story. What an eye opener, in so many ways.

We're researching the idea of moving to southern Africa, so what better way to whet my appetite than to read back through all of Fred's RRs??? This one is my favorite RR ever.

My all-time favorite ride report and the one I always send my friends to get them hooked on ADV.

Just remarkable stuff.

When I finished high school, I wanted to take all my graduation money and buy myself a motorcycle. But my mom said no. See, she had a brother who died in a horrible motorcycle accident when he was 18. And I could just have his motorcycle.
