Hey, is anyone we know an MSF instructor? FlashMN needs work on low-speed maneuvers and after much discussion she thinks a private class would be ideal.

Sick, sick man. Let's call them parking lot maneuvers, shall we? This is a serious matter, it would suck horribly if we had to trade that beautiful Bonneville in on another maxi-scoot. I shall contact Trauma Queen, thanks.

Stoo Wert
Was in the neighborhood, so I stopped in Merlin's for a pint this evening. Signs out from say that next week is British Pie Week. (3/4-3/10) Now, I'm not sure what a British Pie is, but apparently it involves PIE so it can't be all bad.

A British pie is typically a savoury meaty type pie. What often gets called a pot pie hereabouts, but I don't think they have pot in.
Anyway, they are jolly good. Merlins usually comes up with some fancy ones, as well as the simple and delicious chicken, beef etc. I wouldn't mind going there for a meaty pie, I'll have to see how the week shakes out.

![]() Had to get a turntable a couple of years ago so I could convert "The Attack..." and "Darwin's Theory..." to MP3. Love the live stuff.

Do you have decent sounding files of both LP's?

Depends
Not those "Depends"...depends on if you're an audiophile or not!
![]() While I think they sound great, the critic in me is aware that they're not perfect. The first time I listened to them, I could close my eyes and it almost felt like I was in William's Pub (except for the lack of peanut shells on the floor, background noise, cigarette smoke in the air, and the dazzling array of drink choices. Oh, and that they sounded quite different when playing live). But otherwise, it was just like. I also scanned the album covers to use as artwork for my iPod. About a year or so later, I discovered 'stitching' software. That would have saved a bazillion hours of incompetently fooling around with photo editing software. It looks good though! They are however, far better than not having them! If you'd like to give 'em a listen, PM me or something. I'm not always logged in though, so it could take a while to get an answer (or not). |
