How many NYC commuters here? I ride in 3-4 times a week from LIC on an XT225, a KLR650 before that. (I upgraded) I don’t see too many other dual sports so I was wondering who else is out there mixing it up with the evil yellow and black cars everyday.

Everyday from the county of Kings to Nassau County on my Concours. Even got kicked off of the Northern State Pkwy by a state trooper during that last Noreaster / snow storm...

Several reports on the NYCVINMOTO list of bikes getting hauled away today (Friday). Downtown NYC mostly but also reports of Bklyn too.

interesting, must have been a crackdown today. cop (real not traffic) in a car drove up to my bike (parked), checked if there was a plate on the back (there was) and drove off.

He asked if I was on Drugs. Made me get off on the next exit and told me to call a friend to pick me up. Weather was really bad...

I must say, I lost a bit of my taste for risking it on days with a chance of snow. After a get-off in the snow a couple years ago which resulted in a broken rib... Well, it's just not worth it to me anymore.

do you park on the sidewalk @ 525 7th sometimes? i see a nice f800 there occasionally and stop to admire it.

Has anyone not returned motorcycle license plates to the NY DMV after selling a motorcycle or registering it in another state?
I know you have to for a car or truck but on this link it says you dont have to, go to the "How to Surrender Vehicle Plates and Registration Items" 2/3 of the way down
