How many NYC commuters here? I ride in 3-4 times a week from LIC on an XT225, a KLR650 before that. (I upgraded) I don’t see too many other dual sports so I was wondering who else is out there mixing it up with the evil yellow and black cars everyday.

1200GSA as often as possible. Always a great way to start or end a day.

Commuter here, too!
He asked if I was on Drugs. Made me get off on the next exit and told me to call a friend to pick me up. Weather was really bad...

I must say, I lost a bit of my taste for risking it on days with a chance of snow. After a get-off in the snow a couple years ago which resulted in a broken rib... Well, it's just not worth it to me anymore.

Has anyone not returned motorcycle license plates to the NY DMV after selling a motorcycle or registering it in another state?
I know you have to for a car or truck but on this link it says you dont have to, go to the "How to Surrender Vehicle Plates and Registration Items" 2/3 of the way down

You can transfer them to another bike. I've never returned them either.

Triumph Tiger 1050 Comfort Seat - FREE (Park Slope)

Saw this and figured I should share. I don't ride a triumph but someone here must.

California is the only state with legal lane splitting, though enforcement may be lax in other areas.

I still have all the plates from my previous bikes in a box somewhere. When, in the foggy future, I get a garage I can convert to Man-Land, they will go up on a wall.

How you going to ride your new bike home before it's registered if you don't have a plate?

Get it insured first of course, that's serious.
