![]() You got a heck of a bargain! .25-06 is a flat shooting round, and you shouldn't have too hard a time finding it. Accuracy of the round is well known, too. Every local wally world I've been to around here has it on the shelf, everytime I check on ammo.

In my humble opinion ---that is not a factory stock -- looks custom-- that said--- still a great buy as noted. G |

The 700ADL did not have the Monte Carlo stock. BDL sold for a little more than the ADL. I am going on my aging memory from 5 years as a retail buyer in the gun and sporting goods business, that was back in the 80's. |

Wow, any way you slice it, that's a good deal.
IIRC, that's a necked down .30-'06 cartridge - aught to shoot flatter than hammered whale shit. Course, it's going to kick like the '06 too. That's a nice classic stock design as well with the Ebony forend. You could hang it on the wall and just look at it.

Yea you stole it. It looks like a BDL, which is the drop floor plate..but it has that little notch above the bottom metal. Detachable magazine?
![]() The 25-06 is great,I have built customs in 25, 6mm, 6.5mm,and 338-06. They all will shoot! Gary |

I compared it size wise to my uncles .380 body guard and they are very similar in size . .375 kicks back into the web of the hand pretty good , to the point of soreness if you shoot it alot , so I usually practice with .38 to draw, aquire and shoot on target , then finish up the session with 10 or 15 rounds of .357 , also more economical that way , I am having a hard time finding .357 target ammo around here , what I can find is the 100 round boxes of hollow point but its $53 - $58 where as the .38 is around $27 - $30 for 100 rounds. bottom line , yes I would buy it again and would recommend it . certainly as a carry gun , but not really a gun you would spend the day target shooting with .

I just picked up a S&W M&P 9C to keep in the handgun safe for the wife. I am so impressed by it I'm probably going to pick another up just for me...

I got one too and it is one of my favorites - I have smaller hands. I still want to try a Shield to see what it's like for a better carry piece.
