Not bad, but they are going to regret putting that Westy body on top when they hook it on a low hanging tree power line or a bridge.
And I cringed when they sawed the WV apart. Sacrilege!!!

I cringed too. And having that on top makes it look quite weird, especially after they mentioned in the beginning their color choice because they didn't want to look like hippies, just normal people.

Tom S...
I used to have a cargo van E150. I wanted the passenger version for the AC all the way to the back, insulation, speakers, power sources, and basic 'finish' that the passenger offers. I plan on making a hitch mount and pulling a trailer for the bikes, gas cans, fire wood, coolers, etc. and keeping the front of the van as a chill spot and a comfy place to sleep and camp out of. Been down the other road before, just wanted to do something different this time.

If you go to the parent thread, ‘Shiny Things’, & scroll to ‘Vans!’ & then click on the number of replies, you will get a list of all those that posted in this thread. Should be this if it works: ‘Who Posted’ (it did work in the preview) http://www.advrider.com/forums/misc....osted&t=434542 Find who you are looking for on the list & click on their number of posts & you will see all of the posts they made in the thread. Plutonic made 35 post here about that van.
And this is the link I get for a list of all of his 35 posts. http://www.advrider.com/forums/searc...rchid=23401798 I see it ends in a different number than the one I posted before. Looks like you can’t link to it from here but if I paste that link in an email I’m composing it does work. I thought I checked it in here after I posted it. ![]() (WTF? That just now worked for me in the preview too.) In any case I only posted it in case someone wanted to see what all he had done to the van as it progressed. |

Not mine, friend in the bay area showed me last night.
1957 Cadillac ambulance/camper OK this probably fits more in the RV section, but its an interesting frankenstein. only $1900... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/3678934602.html ----- One of a kind, Cadillac ambulance with El Dorado frame mounted camper that was installed by the El Dorado factory. Of interest to someone restoring old Cadillacs, lots of good parts, or perhaps someone might care to bring it back to life? Currently listing at $1900 or best offer. Has been non-op since 1997 sitting on side of home. I purchased this rig in 1965 and have owned it ever since, pro mechanic for many years and this rig was like a hobby as well as living in it. Currently does not run but nothing terminal on what was a low milage short block some years ago. Have records of maintenance performed over the years and I know the history of all that has been done. I know there is value in this rig so if you are serious contact me with any questions you may have and I can provide detailed answers. Need to sell to vacate driveway for new RV to be purchased in near future so I am serious about selling, contact me if you are as well, all offers considered.
