Unfortunately a single image HDR won't do anything for you in extreme lighting conditions where HDR is most useful (gathering the data in a blown out sky or pulling data out of extreme shadows).

Sometimes on extended trips I'll bring one of those little gorilla pods and my camera's remote trigger (for taking milky way night photos for example)

I also have a "camera ball" for my RAM mounts (my 950 has 3 of them) so I can use the 950 as a tripod.
In this photo you can see the 3 RAM balls:

...which I use for SPOT, GPS, iphone, etc.. but also use with one of these:

...which will screw into the bottom of a camera.

Not my photo but one I found online just to finish the point

Hope this helps

Sure does. You've got a ton of balls, I get it

Those gorilla pods are nifty, I own one and dig it.

Hey krime, the news is reporting crazy snow east of your location in the mountains of Hungary. Of course we see you are experiencing snow and ice now.

If you would have taken just a slightly different angle to get that pole on the right out of the picture....
But still,,,, that's pretty damn nice!!!
