Hi, I've just bought a black '12 scram and amongst other things I want to change the bars. I like you black 'western'? Bars. Any info on them?
Sorry guys...first post and thought the image etc from the original post would show.
I'll try again but if anyone knows a supplier of fairly high wide black bars please let me know

As mentioned above the lights come from New Bonneville.

You can ask them to wire out the running lights if you don't want your turn signals on all the time. Thats what I did.

Great bunch of new custom Scramblers showing up. Soon as I think I've seen it all, fresh ideas show up.

wow, just finished reading this thread from start to finish! I started around Christmas because I had a vague interest in a Scrambler.....this thread convinced me it was the right choice.

Just want to say a huge thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread. I have read all of the internet and this is the best thread ever.

My High beam flasher has never worked. I bought the bike used and am curious if it ever worked. The controls look to be parts bin items and knowing what pricepoint target the Bonnies sit at it would not surprize me if it never working.
I do like this bike hope the chrome rots off of it slower than the rubber parts.

I could use some input on the best shocks to be using but cost is also a factor at most I would be looking at the $700 range and would rather keep it lower, I know this has been covered before in posts that I had read but many were 3-5 years old so if anyone has current info that would be very useful.

Because a Bonneville uses 1" handle bars it was difficult to locate a motocross bar that would fit but found these: http://www.biltwellinc.com/index.php...t_detail&p=185

I was also planing on putting an Arrow 2:1 on it and know that I need to get the bracket and right side cover for that modification.

Used Bonnevilles are much easier to find than Scramblers and unfortunately I can't afford to buy a new motorcycle, only used. Plus I like carbureted way more than the new fuel injected so I am looking at only 2005-2007 Bonnevilles and 2006-2007 Scramblers as options.

So what do you guys think? Probably that I am crazy... :)

Hi Norris,

I turned my '08 T100 bonneville into a scrambler. I went with icon fork springs and rear shocks from new bonneville. Aluminum MAS fenders. Zard 2-1 Low mount exhaust. 1" MX Bar from lowbrow Customs (HD-MBD-01-BK).
Mitas Tyres.

Bike now handles great off-road.
