Looks like it starts near Hancock on rt 17, then all the way to Canada.

Ironically, I too plan on starting in the Poconos and taking route 30 up to Tupper lake region this summer. Does anyone know of a cheap cottage with a shower in the middle of the Adirondacks?

Around June first?
I sleep in a tent unless the weather is crap then I get a motel. Probably leaving Fri, sat will be rte 30 then home Sunday.

I'm not sure of the date yet, would like to di this ride in summer and early fall, hopefully after black fly season. I do usually camp, but just looking around for interesting cottages. I legit Lol at the maxwell smart reference

30 between blue mountain lake and long lake can be quite fun. Just a warning if you are planning on spirited riding, anything north of amsterdam to northville on a friday afternoon can be painful. You have all the weekenders getting off the Thruway and heading into the lower Adirondacks.

I ride in the daks about 5 times a year.
Friday will be to get to the beginning of 30 and a campground
Leaving Saturday morning from Hancock area. It looks like the riding on
the southern end could be good too.
Arrive at the northern end by Saturday evening.
Camp there go home Sunday.
Traffic is what it is. Sometimes you get stuck behind a motorhome

As always plans can change.

I found a 1995 KTM 620 RXC with 4,500 miles on it. Got it for $700

Purrs like a kitten (When you can start it)

Needs a stock air box cover so I can install the battery (Ordered E-bay)
Needs a decompression cable (Ordered e-bay)
Fork Seals are leaking.

GOBS of power. what a beast!

What are you smoking? I still have a little room to squeeze through the garage!

Not sure I am going to keep this one, but regardless I am putting it right before I ake a decision, So parts are on the way!

My Stepson (31 years old) wants to ride it, so might have to keep it for that reason.
