Well he didn't exactly walk away. Here's the rest of the story

Did I miss anyone? Where's Phil when you need him? At least he would say he was going until the weather turned nasty.

To be honest I do not savior slabbing 50+ miles on my DRZ just to get to the start, that is why I asked about the KTM, but knowing your rides it will indeed be DRZ type of stuff; rock garden, mud slinging, snow banks and the sort. All Great stuff, except for the mud, but...............

BOB is not going because ? Humm

That said, did you ever mention the rendezvous point in Nyssa?

You may continue...

I was actually thinking of riding back down to NW Utah to explore in the middle of next week (weather permitting) so that's my main reason for lack of commitment You never know I might suprise you and show up , but on Moya.... I'll just take bypass roads if need be.

Sam, You should definately ride the big girl, just for my own sick satisfaction. I love the deep growl of the 990. Thats the one area the DRZ just doesn't do it for me. As far as slab miles go, I used to hate it on the DRZ, after that trip to Nevada last fall with SLABRIDER383 I went to Fishers and had my seat done, now a 100 mile slab run doesn't suck.

The only lodging available at Crystal Crane for the 29th is a 3 bedroom 2 bath ranch house for $200 a night.

Elbow & shoulder. No, the damage done there is essentially permanent (well, it can't heal without surgery, which he's not going to do), so his dirt days are all but over. In fact, we're getting his Z spruced-up and ready to sell on Craigslist (never been down, never been to Mexico).

I think we're going to do a couple of low-key Strom rides this summer, but nothing like "the good 'ol days" where we'd pound two track for days at at time.

Agreed. Get as many miles as you can, while you can. Granted, he beat the hell out of himself for years before he started riding (skydiving, scuba, etc)... so he can't blame it ALL on going over the Z's handle bars!

Looks like Casey will be there for a little comic relief. How's the firewood situation at the hot springs campground ? It doesn't look like find your own is much of an option out there and I do need a fire around so I'm not the only thing thats lit
