Thumb new to me GSA

I've been lurking here fore a while and just picked up a barely used 2013 triple black GSA with 1250 miles

It came with the side and top bags and a decent farkle starter kit and I've added a couple of guards, mudsling, etc. I managed to get it out on some dirt roads and was really impressed with how well it handled. My other bike is a KTM 350 EXC, so it's really interesting swapping between the 2 bikes.

Aside from some more dirt-worthy tires the next big upgrade will be some seat time and training for the rider

What tires are those? They look like they'd be a good on/off hybrid. How are they for millage?

They look like Heidenau K60s.

Definitely Heidi's - Heidenau K-60 Scout, prolly the 150/70B-17 since it has the solid center ridge instead of the individual knobs like on the 18" tire...

These are awesome tires. I have a set on my G650X Challenge and love them. I have almost 9k miles on them both on and off road.

Welcome and gratz on the new bike, I love my 2012 GSA!

Check out the link in my sig line for a thread showing what I've done so far to mine since January. I'm very happy with the changes / mods / farkles I've done to my GSA so far...

As mentioned, they're Heidenau K60 tires. I've got almost 7,000mi on them so far and they still have lots of life left on them. Personally, I hate them. They're not great offroad and onroad they are scary in the rain or wet patches and painted lines. I tried them after getting 7000mi on my TKC-80 tires and will go back to TKC.

Don't rule them out till you try them. I really like a K60 rear and tkc80 front. If you do a lot of highway miles, you will love the longevity and it works well for me off road.

What size bottles are those and do you have a pic of the mounts on the panniers without the bottles? Thanks

Received my steering damper and mounting bracket in the mail today. I'll install it in the morning and post photos.

It is a Dutch built Yacugar damper. I ordered it from The Beemer Shop. Mine is an all black version of the one shown in the link.
