Nope. Generally speaking my hands and feet don't get cold in any sort of weather I'd be riding in. It's happended a few times, but I really didn't have any business being out on a motorcycle in that weather anyway.

I've shoveled snow in barefoot and never slip shoes on to take the trash out in the winter. It feels good! On the, um... other hand... the Mouse's hands can turn white and go numb in 60 deg temps. Weird.

I forgot that you are actually undead, so I'll have to extrapolate your answer to suit.

    I've had:

    Wrap around style heated grips.
    Factory heated grips.
    Heated vest.

And last year I bought a heated jacket and gloves (Gerbing). I'm in love. Nice stuff. If you're thinking about them, Dr. Mudspringer in Fridley (hwy 65 and co rd J) is a great place. They have a big selection and good prices. They run 20% off deals on occasion too.

I have these lobster claw finger booties(I made) that go over my gloves then I put chemical packets in. These help with finger tip/top of hand freeze.

Snow is melting like crazy here at work in Golden Valley! Looks like 45F-50F for the rest of the week. I'm going to be so tempted to take the bike out but afraid of rusting a brand new bike! If there isnt to much salt maybe friday I will commute on the bike on my 24mi. drive to work :clap

    Hey Nick,

If you do ride on friday, which is awesome, just make sure you give your bike a really good wash friday evening or saturday. Rinse it really well, but avoid a pressure washer which can blow water past engine and wheel seals.

    :thumb

And mind those fuckers in cars, and the sand and gravel.

My boss's pregnant daughter got rear ended by a texting teenager yesterday, and she may have lost the baby because of it. :waysad

    Fuckers.

Anyway, she was in some huge SUV, if those bastards can't see an SUV, they certainly won't see a moto-biker.

I understand your excitment though, that never actually goes away, not matter how much riding you do. :clap

I work just west of HWY 100 and 394

Thanks for all the great info, I greatly appreciate it!! I'm sorry to hear the sad news about your bosses daughter, I hope the best for the baby. If she loses the baby I hope the driver gets all that he can get pinned for in court. The system takes way to long and often the good guy foots the bill until the court date. A lot of damage that must be dealt with everyday while the bad guy walks free.

Thanks for noticing! I had my calender marked to try and see those guys! I think I confused the 2013 Rally with the Cannonball.

I cannot remember if it was doug's ride report or someone else that ran into him while he was doing the rally. Looked like they had a ton of fun.

Heads up(for those who may care)! Pauly Shore was in Kellogg, MN filming a documentary this weekend(going to Eau Claire). A friend was at Kellogg's Kwik Trip and Pauly came in looking for something healthy to eat(film crew following him). Friend had to sign a release form. Block buster on the way!!
