Coke Ovens March 30th, 2013

A few of us wanted to run the Coke Ovens loop while it was still very green from the rains. Gorgeous scenery.

Roger & his 4 seat RAZR made it possible to share the experience with Refokus's wife & mine.

Beautiful day & everyone made it out safe. Rogers RAZR had our only flat, but he keeps a spare & there were enough of us the jack was not really needed.

There were no pics, but one rider took a right turn were there wasn't one. I went back to find Guy standing in the road without a cycle. I had to look a couple of times before I saw it upside down about thirty ft below the trail. He was unhurt & the XRL was no worse for the wear. Two passing riders helped us wrestle it bak up on the road.

Where did that happen? Glad nobody was hurt!

One right hand turn before the hills you added to the route last year.
He caught a rock wrong & did an exit stage right. He actually rode it down & gently parked it upside down.

I didn't get many pics. Here are a couple.
As 4play and his lovely bride already mentioned, the desert was beautiful!

We made good time getting to Ajax. Here's Strappy and Refocus bench racing

Strappy and Guy, with Dennis explaining the latest Walking Dead episode.

CookieMonster and Kelly in the background. CM's 2smoke don't need no stinking kickstand.

4Play and Roger Razr arriving at Ajax. Check out the right front tire on the Razr. Kelly's mighty 400XR in the foreground. He's a beast on that thing.

TC and the Razr. TC was riding sweep but still grinning all day!

Utefan and his BRP. He was having carb trouble all day and really got a workout starting that thing.

Roger's Razr needed a tire change. Unfortunately, his jack wasn't up to snuff. Fortunately, he had friends to give him a lift! We went all Flintstone on that bad boy.

The gang.

I don't think this counts, but the ruffled dirt down that hill was the resting place for Guy's XR. Fortunately he was fine. Unfortunately, no one got a pic!!!

Here's Guy and the good samaritan that helped get his bike back on the road. Thanks Dude! Good karma heading your way.

Utefan coming down the Yardstick bonus hill loop.

CookieMonster and 4play.

I raced ahead to Honda Hill so that I could get everyone's pic. Unfortunately, I popped a contact out and only got CookieMonster dancing down the right side line. He made everything look easy today.

CO's were very busy. Refokus.

That's it for me. I was a fun ride with talented group.

That form is way to nice to be me - that is Guy riding the XRL like he stole it.

What a fun ride day. I always enjoy getting to meet new faces.

I was surprised at how few pictures and video I got.

Everybody did pretty good on the hard sections.

Slowred

Guy

Refokus

Utefan

Lets not forget Roger who was ROCKIN that RZR all day.
