Lovely!

I prefer the old headlight, but I'd love to have one of these new bikes!

When I took delivery of my Danmoto clips-ons they sent me one clamp that was the wrong size. While the replacement was on its way I played around with this set up. http://rossmz.blogspot.com.au/2013/0...different.html

Today the replacement clamp arrived. So I fitted them the way they are intended to be done.

They feel great. Just a bit lower than the OEM bars. Yet I can adjust them in so many ways to suit.

Took the bike out for a bit of a blat and the mirrors do not blur at all now. Vibes are being soaked up by the forks. Hard revs and I get a tingle through the bars.

They are wider than my fake Jota bar setup. I am very surprised with how comfortable they are.

I also had to do a real hard brake when out on this blat. They did not move or flex at all.

Stepping out of the conversation

Can I step off the grid here for just a second and ask if anyone has a really good idea about the Bandit lean angle? Do hard parts ever touch before you are off the bike? I know it depends on the tire but can the bike be ridden relatively hard?
It just seems I have very little "chicken strip" on the tires and I don't feel like I ever lean the bike over too far. Any thoughts?

Simply put, yes, hard parts touch. The bottom of the foot pegs.

I put a Scottoiler on mine some time ago and will never be without one again. The difference from periodic spay lube is huge. All reports also show chain/sprocket life in the 50K mile range and judging by what I am seeing; I cannot argue with it.

Great, thanks. That means I can lean it over a little farther.

I can not fault these DanMoto clip ons. They have given me a great ride position. The mirrors stay clear. I have now added some Early Barrel-style POSH grips. These are bigger than standard grips which also helps keep the fatigue levels down on the fingers as you grip a larger diameter.

I've got 35,000 on my stock chain. Tough little bugger.
