Same here I have a '01 Roadking since new and I have been looking at Sportys too. I had a brand new 883 Deluxe in 1992, I really miss the compact hot rod nature of these scoots. I like the new 48 a lot, great starting point for a bobber..

Not yet. I bought one on ebay for a KLX, but its still heading north on the barge. I'm going to try mounting it where you mounted yours.

They're WP forks off a KTM EXC 450. The springs are cut and spacers removed, so they're lowered a bit over 2 inches.

What is the charging output of a 1200 for accessories??? Would I be able to run Clearwater Kristas??

at a glance it looks like 38A (494w at 13v). You should be fine running accessories, not a bad idea to install a voltage meter and keep an eye on it. You might turn things down/off at idle at stoplights
