Took my baby for it's first service today. No signs of oil usage at the 1000 mile marker.
First service at 1030 miles on the clock. And I am the first client at my garage going for the 1st service.
Done a ride with the BMW club and saw 2 other LC GS'es. And loads of other BMWs on the first good day this year.

I had the dealer fit them to a shop bike to see them on. They are still biggish in my opinion but I love the way they mount with no bars to be added just slip into the slots in the frame & lock into place with built in pannier locking mechanism.

Can't get mine done till may not enough mechanics to handle demand. Pissed off will need to stop riding it soon.

I'll have one at the end of this month and I'm willing to make a video with you, you just have to come down to Atlanta!

I actually prefered Eric's uploads but he seems to have stopped after a point.

Possibly they will release some more videos with all the trips together and some "making of". There is an unused tab in One World micro-site.

Ending was rather emotional. Makes sense. Good marketing BMW.
It was a fun tour. I really enjoyed following it and meeting up with them in New Zealand. I too hope that hi res pictures and more video of the trips together plus some "making of" will be released. We have however still got the "Tour Highlights" section to come.

Yes was pretty cool way to introduce the bike...I thought the U.S. portion was poorly done though...we got to see very little of the bikes and natural scenery but rather schlocky tourist stuff (Elvis wedding chapel and riding around a cowboy western town tourist trap) and then a game of football.

Rode the demo at my dealer today for about 35 miles. Wow. All I can say is BMW got this one right. So much so that I am probably going to trade my K1600GT for one.

Bought a Powerlett Socket today and plan to install this weekend. Got wiring routing work to do but should be OK, tight but that is good!!

When connecting to the battery the ground post is accessible the hot side is not but there is a hot (red) positive cable wired beside the battery on the frame for boosting etc. is this what they connected to on yours ??

Thx Carlsberger
