Of course there isn't a single HD in the group... but based upon the stereotypical bullshit constantly spewed by yourself and others in this forum you would think a rolling roadblock would have to be caused by a group of pirates.

Christ I can't believe how many people posted in this thread without noticing.... lmao
I'm actually amazed no one made a 'lay er down' comment...

Speaks tons about the closed mindedness of so many so called 'motorcyclists.'
Enthusiasts my ass. Bunch of damn sheeple is what we got here.

As for not knowing the difference between a sportbike and a HD.... check my profile and then we'll talk about your ignorance.
Wow! Your kind of special aren't you? Post more and lurk less!!!

I passed some guys one day when I was out for a putt, and later, when I was eating or stopped for something, Captain Road Captain walked over and said I "Fucked up our Formation". I think some burrito came out of my nose. "Your WHAT?" I'm just glad it wasn't the "Sargeant At Arms", whatever the fuck that means. Is that the bouncer, or bodyguard or something? He just walked off while I laughed hysterically.

I hate it when that happens.

I'm old school: I will flash-to-pass 3 times before passing on the shoulder. Also, I would have passed on the left.

What is the etiquette in using the "flash to pass" trigger on your bike? What situations?

Mine has one, but I've only used it to get peoples attention when they're about to do something crazy in front of me.

Careful with that. MANY people take flashing highbeams as a "go-ahead" signal, and in fact, that is protocol in some countries.

I thought about this, and you're 100% correct-I've done it myself in the truck. Why the hell was I doing that on my bike!? Seemed to work though, maybe it's because I would hit the trigger really fast a half a dozen times to get the errant ped's or whoever's attention vs. the one flash that seems to be standard...

If you are on the highway, and flash someone in the fast lane ahead of you, they are supposed to pull right.

If you are a left lane with space in front of you, and someone has their blinker on to get in front of you, it signals them to come on over.

If you are on a surface street, with someone waiting to turn left across your lane of traffic, it signals that you will slow to allow them to make the turn in front of you.

Perfect explanation, thank you. Question: were I grew up, in MN and MT, people do actually abide by these rules: do people in CA? Drivers are nuts here.

Unfortunately, in this country, especially in CT, if you flash your high beams at someone slower than you in the fast lane, they will take it as a challenge and do something dumb that will endanger lives. The other two seem to work most places...

If a trucker wants to move over, he'll signal, and a flash is the go-ahead. If I pass a truck, the trucker will flash when I'm clear to pull over in front, and I'll flash or wave to say thanks. Simple.

In Europe, a flash to the vehicle ahead is a request for him to move over so I can pass. Disregarding it is a traffic offense. So is passing on the right.

I've never seen a flash used to invite someone to turn left in front of them. Ceding right-of-way is stupid. It confuses people and can cause an accident.

Why does this surprise anyone? We deal with what's given us. I've found someone who could piss me off every day if I let them, and if I do, its my problem to deal with.

If you get in the habit of trying to police everyone's actions, I can guarantee a most unenjoyable ride. Just ride and tend to your own business. You sure aren't going to change anybody, unless you're willing to change yourself.

Just my opinion folks, and it isn't worth any more than the rest of it. :
