Techron

Costco currently has a coupon book with $7 off a case of Techron. You get 6 bottles of Techron for $10.99. I believe that is just a little cheaper than the BMW dealer.

You guys believe in the Techron product that much?

I just bought my bike, and it has only had Chevron gas in it this far, mostly on the recommendations of most here about the Techron.

I think people use it because it helps with clogged injectors. Members seem to have pretty good success clearing up fouled fuel systems when they put some in their tanks

You talking 10.99 each or for 6 bottles? And what size bottles? They do 12 and 20 oz. Sizes. All the auto stores in my area seem to do the buy one get one free quite regular. The 20 oz. size is $12.95 each but you buy one get one free.

There is a (relatively) 'pure' Techron... which is more expensive.
Then there is the 'gas treatment' Techron... which is less expensive.

Pretty sure the Costco one is the 'gas treatment' Techron.

I'm not one to believe in snake oils, but for some reason, chevron gas gives me better gas mileage every time.

I've seen both "Fuel SYSTEM Cleaner" and "Fuel INJECTOR cleaner"
the full system cleaner is the better one ... and yeah the best deal I have found so far is the 2-for-1 deal on the larger 20 oz bottles bringing price to ~$6.50/bottle.

... but ... for the record I would not be opposed to paying less....

The concentrated stuff-I see that at every shop I'm ever in. The techs all say it's the best stuff going. Yamaha ring free is the same stuff rebranded but it changed names again. As always, YMMV.

Techron

Techron is the best stuff going right now. I've been through several presentations by the Techron engineers and I have to say I've been pretty impressed. If you are having any type of fueling issues definitely get a bottle and run it through. A treatment every 3000 miles is also good idea. I will see if I still have the powerpoint presentation with before and after photos of injectors.

IIRC the BMW Techron is a different formula that is a bit stronger than conventional Techron.

If anyone wants the before and after photos PM me and I will see if I can dig up the picture and any other information I have.

Thanks

use Quickshot

FYI, I am not a Amsoil dealer.
I use the Quickshot in my first tank of fuel after winter storage and it has keep everything clean and tip top shape. I have pulled a injector and checked spray pattern and all good. Also Use the PI or performance Inhancer product at oil changes for a full system clean. Never any issues and pistons and valves look like a new engine when looked at with a scope. Guess some snake oils do work
