i bought a extra tw200 rear wheel off ebay for my dakar. i disassembled the wheel then modified it by cutting it shorter and cutting the sprocket mount off and rewelding it further inward to work on my bike. i also welded up both sides of the hub flanges to beef it up even more since my bike has 50hp. the stock hub is holding up great with over 9,000 miles on it so far but i feel better beefing it up since i have it apart. i also painted it a urethane grey metallic before assembly.

One of the cleanest and coolest projects I've ever seen on here....I just love it!

I am so jealous of you guys with mad wrenching skills....I'm lucky if I have enough ability to tighten up a loose mirror on my bike.

Since you now have two rear wheels, are you going to start mocking up the old one for a disc brake? I know you said that the drum has proven adequate, the disc would certainly add to the "wow" factor though.
