Curious what the "usual" installation route folks picked. Hacking up the stock wiring isn't something I like to do, and if there is/was a plug-n-play option, I'd be interested in hearing about it!
If you bought it from Sicass then it is just plug n play. If yours is not then you ordered the wrong one. I just simply pulled the old one out and plugged the new one in - couldnt have been easier.

buy the connector and the cavity plugs -slip them in and you have a clean install plug that is weatherproof
ok I wanted to see the final product is all - when all was said and done. I just went ahead and ordered them as I figured it was cheap enough that it didnt matter. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the servic tip BP!
Played hooky and went riding today

Anyway, I thought they came with the lowest spring rates, but apparently they don't. I just looked at my receipt and my new springs are 4.4 front and 72 rear, which is the highest of the low-med-high ratings listed in the manual. So, I am assuming the medium ones are standard. I couldn't get the rear sag numbers anywhere close with the stock spring.

Dang. I can't remember where I ordered it from. Wasn't on my Sicass Racing order, nor from Rocky Mountain.

Anyhow, thanks for the confirmation!

Thanks for posting up the post number which contatins the ordering info for the dummy plug for the evap canister solenoid. There is so much info in this thread that it is difficult to find the good parts I want to get ordered. Also thanks to MJG2 for finding a plug setup!

Think I'll give him a call too.
Haven't heard anything back from advmonster/sanjoh... hopefully he is just on vacation.

Ride report

Got new 13 500 EXC in January -spent winter months getting it all set up
did a few short rides to get 1 hour and change oil

Just last weekend got out for first real ride and must say bike completely exceeded all my expectations- 10 of 10 overall

Runs great -light and agile -easy to ride- mild mannered but tons of power if and when needed

I plan to use as dual sport ride

But I see me using this in woods lots too- my KTM 300 will be getting some rest -and less use

here are a few pics from the shakedown run

Cheers

They changed rims in 2013 so the only difference is black rim on 12's vs silver on 13's. Both have black spokes/silver hubs.
