This is the best one so far.

Are you listening DAKEZ?

Push WITH left go left.
Push WITH left go left.
Push WITH left go left.
Push WITH left go left.

For me it works this way:

I need to push the bikes azz out to turn, and the only thing to hold on to is the handlebar.

Any child who has ever been in a carrousel knows how it works.

For me it works like this. I counter steer to the lean the bike.

If you need a mnemonic device "like push left to go left", you're still a noob.

and if you feel the need to nitpick to add "with", you're an anal retentive bore.

I don't need any mnemonic device, since the carousel is in my muscle memory since age 5.

"Push left" is ambiguous, "push with left" is unambiguous.

If Dakez' message doesn't come through the first time, shouting it out louder doesn't help, it needs rephrasing within itself, not in the foot notes.

Flysniper nailed it. The rest is just arguments. If you ride 2 wheels, you countersteer.

IF there is some hazard in front of me - should I simply 'steer' the way I have been all along as described in my intitial post or should I make a DELIBERATE push the opposite way I need to go?

IE - should I rely on instinct/expereince or try to deliberatly 'force' the handlebars???
The faster you need to change direction the harder/faster you countersteer.

I am gonna' have to say that I believe the majority of the people posting in this thread are making light of this. There simply CAN NOT be this many people that have little to no basic concept of how to control a motorcycle.

Of course, maybe I am expecting too much, given the shitty riding I see on the street. Maybe it is just the track junkies that can pilot a bike. Dunno... amazed at this thread though...

In ErikDK's case it is "people away" with his sniveling strain at a gnat nitpicking mentality.
