Question Transalp 700 not ticking over when warm

I'm hoping there is someone out there that can help, I have a 2009 700 Transalp which I purchaced about a year ago, great bike and was really pleased with it. About 3mths ago I noticed the rev counter started to drop and then pick up when ticking over when warm giving an uneven engine tone. With time it became more eratic untill now when it cuts out at lights etc. The engine restarts on the button but does not rev too freely and it struggles for a few seconds then seems to clear. At speed the bike appears to run fine.

I can find nothing visually wrong, so was hopefully looking for someone out there that has had the same problem and can suggest a fix??

Thanks for reading
