Two Invitations - 21/6/13 and 11/9/13

All are welcome to join the 216 RIDE, on 21/6/13. Meet up at Louis' Tea Room, Kit Hill Approach Road, Callington, Cornwall, PL17 8AX 01579 389223 (10:30 for 11:00 departure). Lead by long-suffering Phill we will trundle off to Dartmoor for more scoff (bring a packed lunch and possibly a golf umbrella), then back to Louis Tea Room for a cuppa, plus or minus scoff. There will be no marshalling, rescue van or feedback forms, just a few good companions and some naughty motorbikes…

You are also welcome to join the 119 RIDE, on 11/9/13. Meet up at Louis' Tea Room, Kit Hill Approach Road, Callington, Cornwall, PL17 8AX 01579 389223 (10am for 10:30 departure). We intend to ride to East Portholland PL26 6NA for more scoff (bring a packed lunch and possibly a golf umbrella), and via St Mawes to The Borough Arms, Dunmere, Bodmin for a cuppa, plus or minus scoff. Once again Peter will lead the way on a truly Cornish route which is very noble of him especially after last year’s rainy run. There will be no marshalling, rescue van or feedback forms, just a few good companions and some naughty motorbikes…

As is so often the case the day dawned grey and damp.

Feeling not unlike the wreck of the Hesperus I counted among my blessings the wisdom to accept Phill’s generous offer to set the route and lead today’s celebration of Dartmoor’s fine lanes.

Happy people here - http://thebridgeclub2011.blogspot.co...-2013-216.html

In preparation for Saturday’s 21/6 Cornish Rideabout I washed the worst of the muck off each of my three runners this morning.

The T140’s still sulking on the bench and in truth the Little Velo is not likely to be pressed into service on Saturday but whichever of the Green Uns which still has air in its tyres and a song in its heart will be.
