I'd kinda lost my mojo a bit of late, I've only ridden the bike once since returning from Morocco last October. Got busy in the garage the other day though :)

I replaced front pads, fitted a new rear shock guard (as the tyre had worn through the old one!) and swapped my off road wheels for the road ones. Then went to work on it.

Here's what I did to my new 990 over the weekend..

Fender extender

LED lights on a Twisted Throttle bracket.

Slaven's Racing skid plate ($Only $199. bucks).

Rear Plate from CJ Designs..

Mounted my 665 Zumo, on a Touratech mount, V1 radar on the right, and XM antenna on the left.

That's the HID kit from DDM tuning. Those are 5k bulbs. I tried 3k, but found them far too yellow. 5k is a bit blue, so I would suggest trying the 4.5k temperature.

I used the stock headlight housing. It seems to work pretty well. No doubt that a bigger reflector would improve performance. I would be tempted to try the Euro housing with an H4 bulb on the high setting.

FedX brought my ScottOiler kit today. I'm going to install it before a long Utah trip that starts on Thursday. Looking forward to no longer having to oil the chain. I already ran the vacuum line when I had the bike apart last time, so installation should be pretty simple. I'm going to put the oiler in the tool compartment under the seat.

Tell me about the Valentine mounting. That looks like a made to fit case. I have mine velcro'd next to my GPS on the dash. A nice case would be great.

I bought the case a few years ago from Legal Speeding. As far as I know they are no longer to be had. It has been very good, and my V1 has never been wet. They were .10 cents worth of cheap plastic for IIRC $22.95 . There also could be bought at Cycle Gadgets when they were still in business. If you find any let me know, the UV light is starting to get to this one.

Looks to be available in the People Republic of Photoshoptavia. Exchange rate is a killer.

I vote someone got bored.

I'd agree with this. There does not seem to be any connection between that akra pipe and the cylinder?
