How did Schrieber look when you were down it, jbmac? Here's how it looked today:

And now, the moment you've all been waiting for. Please allow me to present:

The tag:

This is found at the dead end of the Bailey Bridge Rd in Midland county, MI. I love old structures and this is a really neat looking bridge. If you look through the slots in that excessively sized graffiti covered metal thing, you can see the structure of the bridge. It would've been cooler without the stupid plates in the way though.

I am pretty sure I know where that is. Wish it was a little closer. Or I had the weekend off. My brother used to live on the other side of the bridge.

Initially I tried to get to the other side of that (approaching from SW), but there was a guard rail and a spray painted sign saying turn around now. There was a cage-width gap in the guard rail and the pavement to the bridge continued around a curve, but being unsure if it was private property or what the deal was on that side, I decided to just get the side I got.

Edited to add:

I never saw this bridge when it was officially functional as a bridge. Was it still functional as a bridge when your brother lived on the other side, or already closed?

Edited again to add a link to some interesting (or nerdy) information about the aforementioned bridge:

It's a nice bridge, there is only a few holes in the decking. Lol. My brother used to live in the sencond or so house from the end on the west side of the road.

That website is kind of cool. All sorts of tagging opportunities...

Soft

The road looked a lot harder when I went through. Your pic makes it look a lot looser and softer.

That tag won't last the night :)

The bridge doesn't look like it's in awful shape. I'd cross it with my bike, maybe not a car.

After picking some books from my sister-in-law, I took my time to ride the extra mile to get the tag:

I ran out of time before I was back on baby duty. Great day to ride.

Apparently the park closes at 7 this time of year. I was tempted to be a hooligan and meander around the gate for the photo, but figured outside the gate would have to do this time.
