Just to add, might had a glass or two when I wrote that....its 0.5mm to 0.2mm tolerance on the fixing points, so 10.5mm to 10.2mm and 8.5mm to 8.2mm.

Cheers McMann, I came up with a couple of ideas, two based from Terlingua design. A complete CF design $$$$ and this...its not that pretty but it works and doesn't cost the earth.

I talked with two engineers I admire about materials ie $/strength/sheer/durability and was finally convinced they were right to go with steel alloy. (as Peanuts says) Its been adapted to cover all Adv's, 03's and SE's with various skid plates but it was originally intended just for me and a few mates, ACP from KTMUK donated his bike and time to the effort.

I'm in the market for a kit and have the same question, and how to place an order, turn around time, etc.

Another happy customer. Thanks Charlie. Very Very Happy with the product. Top notch quality.

I have to admit, it was a little scary having my 110 pound wife support the bike while I mounted it up.

Thanks again,

ben
