KampKook Stove fuel question.

I just found a cool little single burner camp stove at a garage sale. It's a KampKook that uses K-fuel.
What the heck is K-fuel?
Pics included for reference!

Mine looks to take some sort of LPG canister. Has a threaded adapter as in the first pic?

how about replumb from the valve input or maybe even valve and all to a more modern fuel canister type.

assuming the burner orifices and such are workable for a different gas mix.

I only paid $3.00 for it at a garage sale so it's not really worth doing a lot to. If I can't find a canister for it I might just toss it.
