Legally it is a motorcycle... in this country anyway.

Yeah, by legal definition, having less than 4 wheels, it is a M/C here too I think. That may exempt it from certain regulatory requirements such as safety standards, emissions differences, and so forth, but to me if it is fully enclosed, doesn't lean, and/or has more than 2 wheels, it isn't a true motorcycle... Just offers none of the things that I associate with the feeling of motorcycling, IMO...

Sorry, all you Can-Am and other trike lovers.

To me, that thing is just a tandem seat car that just happens to have one wheel missing.

It doesn't require a motorcycle license in California, but I believe it would in Utah. I think it's nice to see weather protected, stable in the snow, new & reliable transportation with that low of a price. Sorry, but the price of new cars has gotten ridiculous.

Yeah, it could be an interesting alternative form of transportation. Still don't really see it as a motorcycle in any real sense though...

If you never want another woman to look at you in a sexual way ever again get the trike.

As for me, I'll stick with real bikes.

I wanted one of these so bad.... but Y never brought it to the states. It looks ideal to me. Comfy ergos, shaft drive, 6+ gallons of gas, and air cooling. I know we often say "I would have bought one if...", but I really would have bought one if they had imported it.

I know a local bloke who had over 80.000 miles on his when I last spoke
with him, and that was at least 5 years ago.. he was accumulating 20k/year
on average.

The bike never let him down.

Even here they're VERY rare, but the 600cc version (especially the naked)
can be found rather easy.

Yamaha looks great but can't be that much different than an early model Bandit.

yep, I wanted one of those too, and almost bought one. I did a test ride and it seemed pretty buzzy to me. I bought a C10 instead. I guess these days the only bike that is comparable would be the GSX 1250FA.

Sorry? Shaft vs. Chain. 6+ gallons fuel vs. less than 5 gallons. Suspension and economy? I agree that they share the same "look", but that's about all.

Yep, one way they can sell it so cheap, no crash testing! It will be my winter vehicle if they actually start making it, even if I need a 3 wheel endorsement and wear a helmet! 84mpg!?!
