Oh, & P2 is cross controlling. Cop training or not...

Um, have you watched cops practicing? All that slow speed cone work teaches them that.

I do pursuit training; the first thing we have to do is break them of that.

I always thought that they rode side by side so that they could hold hands.

I thought it was constantly telling your partner when to shift, what gear they should be in, what speed to travel...

Cross controlling in an airplane is rudder one way and flaps the other. Not sure on a motorcycle.

Cross controlling in an airplane is rudder one way, and ailerons the other. Looking forward to the motorcycle version...

You mean counterweighting. Lots of riders do it all the time but I assume from the comments that cops in formation are supposed to stay bolt upright (relative to their bikes.)

P2 (if that's the designation for the front-row, right hand rider) also has his head turned and canted more than his colleague. Looks like better form to me. I like the fact these guys are actually wearing some protective gear.

Greetings from NJ

That pict would be.... me.

As this is my first post here on ADV, allow me to introduce myself. I am an LD rider active on the MTF forum. I have 2 goldwings 2004 and 2008. The 2004 has 131,000 miles on it and the 2008 had 70,000.

I'm up for a ride anywhere, anytime. Looking forward to seeing all on the road

Dave
