Fabric information for mesh and stretch panels?

Manufacturers pretty readily identify the solid materials they use in their riding gear, whether textile or leather (they'll list 1000D Cordura, 1.2-1.4mm leather, etc.) However, there's usually not much mention of specifically what fabrics they are using for mesh, or the stretchy "comfort panels".

Anyone here actually have any technical information about these fabrics, other than just "mesh"? I have noticed while looking at gear in the store that there are different weights of mesh, and it seems a curious oversight that we want to know the weight of the Cordura or leather we wear, but accept mesh as mesh.

(Not really looking for opinions on whether or not mesh sucks or someone says it will melt into your skin or whatever, just information about the fabric itself... :) )
