Glad I found this thread! Aviation and bikes are my two main addictions. This was my ride to MEM for BBQ Fest this past weekend.

This was my ride last Saturday. Picnic at WV77. Learned to fly here in '85.

Nice Taylorcraft. I used to fly one of those as well. Any tail wheel plane adds an element of fun that you don't get on most modern planes.

thanks! Wish I could claim it as my own, but sadly no. She'll comfortably seat 4 and has a 41,000 ft ceiling. The other day I saw 220kts indicated, 389kts GS at FL310... not too shabby for a Barbie jet

I took a ride in this Super STOL by Just Aircraft last Saturday. Troy, the designer/builder/owner was happy to take several of us up in his demo plane.

The retractable leading edge slats are trick.

Talk about a short takeoff roll.

It gets off the ground quick... which is a good thing when there's a lake at the bottom of the (steep) runway.

View of the Just Aircraft factory with the grass strip on the left.

This plane is like a motard in the sky. Wanna carve up a tree lined river? No problem.

Uphill landing.

If you're ever near Walhalla, SC drop by the factory for a tour and he might take you for a ride too.

I told my wife I bought her a $1,500 flower pot for Mother's Day. She was not amused.

I lived at Plattsburg AFB when they transitioned to FB-111s. They would accelerate out over Lake Champlain on full burner. Amazing sight.
