I have no takers at the moment Alain and will pull out tomorrow with 3 weeks to fart around in northern BC and the Yukon. I don't do ride reports in the forum but I will try and post some pics up on this thread while I'm on the road. cheers!

I'd love to go with you Wayne....if only I could.

At least I wouldn't have to worry where my morning coffee was coming from.

Have a great trip.

Looking forward to photos.

i can try to explain few moments what can be unexpected here (but i can be sure only about current kit, don't know if somethig was changed in parts of other years),
1) brake rotor should be plain because there no free space between fork leg and hub
2) there only 3.5cm between spokes and brake rotor so caliper should be slim. I had no money for cool race caliper so i was searching one with more that two pistons on one side only. It was front left from VFR1000 (gold/silverwing, varadero). But it has combined braking system (front brake use 2 of 3 pistons, rear use 1 of 3) so I had to connect central and side piston chambers with bore inside. And finally brake pad one side should use caliper bracket as stopper.
3) springs should be changed to stronger.
4) axis between triple tree should be longer and have spacer for upper triple tree, because steering bar holder bolt nut (for crf 250r 2004 fork) will hit the frame.
5) front fender should have spacers
P.S. I can try to prepare drwings for triple tree axis and caliper bracket but a bit later, i should test it all.

NAATS 2013 is cancelled.

Some of you may have heard about the Black Forest Wildfire here in Colorado. My wife and I had to evacuate Tuesday afternoon with our dogs and whatever we could throw in my truck and her car. Yes, I threw my AT and Super Tenere in the bed. I just found out the house is a total loss. As much as I would like to ride with everyone, I need to reset and reassess. I hope to see everyone soon at another gathering.

Very sorry to hear that, Jim.

As you know, when they get that big all you can do is gather up a few important things (if you have time) and RUN AWAY.

It's certain to take a while but let me know what you need. I'll be glad to do whatever I can to help out.

I know you've lots on your mind right now, but be sure to track all your expenses since you left home. Insurance guys like lots of paperwork.

Hi, any advice where I am getting these plain bearings for the connecting rod?
Honda in southafrica is freaking expensive and 4 weeks lead time.
Are these Honda specific?

Thanks, Alex
