There are no good roads in Oregon, Montana, Washington or Idaho

Nope nothing to see here... No need to visit.

The road from Silver City to Gila Cliff Dwellings is about 46 miles, but it is one of those roads where you are usually afraid to look off as you go up and down through the gears and lean into innumerable curves and a straight now and then, uphill, downhill, forests where the sunlight turns into a giant strobe as you go through. Wonderful ride, and when you get to the Dwellings you take some large breaths and realize your self-admonishments to stop squeezing the bars were not heeded, lol.

Also the road from Carrizzozo down through Lincoln, NM and eventually to Roswell is a great road, and you can stop and see where Billy the Kid lived and rode, etc. Cooler times of the year are better, and you can go from desolation to green pockets of lushness, to plains with multiple dust devils sweeping across the land, to more desert to ponderosa forests, to rocky, ancient abodes, pretty much a perfect trip :).
Ive done this loop and its nothing short of amazing. Approaching the VLA is neat because it looks quit small until you realize its 20 miles away down the dirt rd. we did run into snow in early dec. that made the route less advisable! :)

Four Peaks to A Cross Road along the north shore of the Lake, and then back on Apache Trail

I also enjoy Seven Springs Rd to Bloody Basin Rd west to I-17. Then maybe up to Crown King for a bite and a beer.

I have yet to try Table Mesa Rd. Looks kind of technical for an older rider like me. I would need a riding buddy I think.

Isn't this thread about "What do you riders consider to be the best roads to ride in the US?"

...not "What are the best roads are you going to allude you know about but refuse to divulge?"

From Osoyoos, eh? The thread is about roads across the border, but there are some in BC that I wanted to include, like BC 31A from Kaslo to New Denver and the Green Mountain Rd. There are others, lots of them, but those are personal favourites.

The 10 best roads in the United States are any 10 roads I haven't ridden yet. I have my regular rides that I like, however a new road is always the best. No matter.

As Dakez said, nothing to see here, .

Green Mountain Rd is a regular, and my wife and I are riding to Vancouver on business next week but taking the long way home through Whistler, Lilloet and yes that will include Kaslo to New Denver.

In BC I recommend Steep Creek Rd near Bralorne. Narrow dirt with switchbacks. Up to a 34% grade for 4 miles. Fantastic view at the top.

I'm getting back in the mood to go for a ride along that route again, maybe in late Sept or mid October, should be mighty fine then, lol. Maybe this time I can get a shot of a ufo :)
