When you click Butters link, it takes you to a page that just conducts a Google search for you. What you see, and what I see are two different things. To add fuel to the fire, I'm not even in North America right now, and the real Husky NA page is the first result for me, not www.husqvarna-motorcycles.com/en

Husky just got bought. Whenever one company buys another, especially a fledgling one, there are going to be changes. The first thing the buyer will do is halt or slow operations until they can do a major investigation into the internal operations of the purchased company. This normally means that employees of the company can't comment on operations or projections. If you email Husky and ask if there will be a 2014 Terra, they won't respond. They can't, because anything they say can come back to haunt them. It is Corporate Operations 101.

We do know that Husky NA is consolidating operations. Husaberg will be folded into Husky. So guess what, some stuff is going to have to close.

What never made sense, not once, is why BMW kept Husky NA in Corona, CA in the first place. BMW NA is based out of NJ. They probably could have saved a lot of corporate overhead by combining operations. I imagine that KTM has seen this, and will be doing the same. Distributing parts from East to West is also much cheaper than vice versa. It's just logistics.

If I'm Stefan Pierer, there would be no way I'd keep Husky NA in Corona. That would be very bad business, and I imagine that we will see it re-emerge somewhere else.

I emailed BMWgroup and got a reply. I emailed KTM, Cross Industries and Bajaj Motors with no response.

Honestly Greg .. mr Rride is not a Troll ... (most internet Trolls are much smarter than this Stooge)... he is just a complete idiot who knows ZERO about motorcycles, the MC industry and not much of anything else based on every post on this thread.

I seriously doubt he will ever buy a Terra and will be lucky to keep his 20 year old Nighthawk 750 on the road ... a bike he thinks is one of the best ever made.

But you have the right idea, as he is a sort of Troll .. but a harmless one, IMO . The solution may be to put him on Ignore ... unless you like reading his post for purely comic relief!

Most MC Noobs reach out and ask for help and ask for links where they can learn more. Not this guy. I'd guess his reading comprehension is somewhere at 2nd grade level.

Well, that makes me feel a whole lot better since I have not heard one intelligent thing come out of your mouth. Thanks, you're an idiot!

You need to have an IQ above 55 to be an official "conspiracy theorist"

I posted the Cycle News interview (Alan Cathcart interview of Pierer) links here weeks ago ... apparently not many on the new thread have taken the time to read these two very long interviews.

I guess if info is not "Twitter-ized" no one bothers to read it.
No wonder we are so easily fooled.

And you have a 34 hp motorcycle right? You are a genius, but I'd take the Husky 650 any day over your pride and joy. In fact, I'd take just about anything over 34 hp!

And correction, you did not post anything: worthwhile anyway. What you did is copied and pasted an article. You have to be smarter than a gold fish to post something.

I work less than 2 miles from the Husqvarna corporate office, have been there a few times (to check out the Baja concept bike, to see the introduction of the Terra and Strada, and to return the rubber footpeg inserts I accidentally took home with me from the Terra introduction ).

In my best estimation, the corporate office is only about 4000 square feet at the most and has probably a dozen employees, for sure less than 20.

Corona is very much in the heart of the off road industry, I think.

I wonder what the Husqvarna sales volume within 150 miles of Corona CA is compared to within 150 miles of BMW's HQ in NJ? The KTM sales volume?

Their corporate HQ seems to be in a perfect location for Husqvarna.

Mod hat on: Let's keep the JM banter and insults out of this forum, OK?
Thanks!

Since getting the VFR a few weeks ago all my energies have pretty much been focused on riding it and ignoring the TR

I did order, and finally got around to installing a 15t countershaft - and look forward to some lower gearing.

I made contact with TCI about building a tail rack and luggage racks for the TR650. They need a bike for prototyping and fitment in Orange, California. There will be swag for donating the use of your bike. Any volunteers? PM me if interested.

For those that don't know, TCI makes some pretty neat and robust luggage solutions. This could be our ticket to getting rid of that wretched plastic rack.
