Here's the new band...

For anyone with small bones this is nice watch, very thin but a large face.
Since it is stainless you can find them on Ebay for approximately $400usd.

The lume is done so these guys look like a good bet?

I would try to find an Omega metal band that goes with that watch. The stretch band kind of pokes it in the eye. But that could be just me an my dislike for stretch bands. A leather band would look elegant too if the Omega metal is tough to find or too expensive. I would be hesitant to have it lumed until it needs service or you know and trust a watchmaker. I would hate to mess with that original dial.....Can you tell I love this watch? What a history it has too.

Really cool omega, and I second this advice.

I'm interested in obtaining an older Seiko divers watch. Is there a particular model number or year of manufacture that I should be looking for....? I like the "Pepsi" watches as well as the traditional looking divers watch. What should I expect to reasonably pay for one of these and what's the best resource for locating one besides Ebay..?

Watch Recon is ok, but WUS is my favorite watch forum. Best classifieds section, too.

Watch recon scours the net for watches for sale including those posted on watchuseek. It's a cool site. I'm also partial to http://www.watchfreeks.com

WUS is kewl. I hang on the Seiko and Citizen forum, and also the sales forum. Another good place to find info and watches is here.

I think what would be REALLY cool would be for a smart phone user to chose a watch face (for me a Rolex Explorer 2) and have that as the screen on your smart phone and it shows the time.

mmmm
