Wings -and I'm sure other companies too- is about to release their exhaust, should be lighter and cheaper so if I were you guys I would wait for a couple of months.

There are a few pics of a twin exhaust project for the 1190R on the SA forum, so yes, it can be done
what is the "SA forum" ?

by the way, i would go for the REMUS exhaust

Easy.

I'm thinking of making a low pipe so I can make two slim alu panniers.

What program are available to access the ECM to modify fuel mapping?

Here is a French video from Moto-Infos TV that seeks to compare "maxi-trails" bikes, all of which are in the 1200cc displacement range. The 1190 is the last one tested. And, I just realized how badly my French sucks.

Electronic Preload

I had set the preload to rider & luggage when i got my 1190 and kinda forgot about it, I switched the preload to rider only. What a revelation! The suspension lowered about an inch, I can now flat foot both feet and the bike is far, far more flickable and responsive.

I have a local road where I go for a quick fix of bends:

and the bike just flows through the bends now. I know it's my fault for not paying attention to suspension settings (d'oh ) but I'm so glad I decided to try this setting. I'm sure other owners have experimented with the different suspension settings but I just hadn't bothered until today.

I fitted the kTm side stand puck also:

and I need to wash the roadkill off the bike soon:

and I'll finish with an arty farty bokeh shot;

Auxiliary lights mounting

Hi Can anyone tell me what the mounting brackets for the auxiliary lights attach to on the 1190 ?? I cant see much from the picture [ they appear to disappear under the bodywork next to the front shocks ] and I am busy making some 10 watt LED lights for the bike but will of course need to mount them ,,,,,,, [ the crash bars are a difficult issue as they are almost one big curve everywhere !!! ]

is that a 1190 specific screen extender? Does it make a worthwhile difference?

I bought it second hand, it was on a 1200gs but fits the 1190 perfectly. It lifts the wind blast over my head when I'm on the motorway (freeway). I have ordered the taller touring screen for the kTm and I presume I won't need the extender with that screen.

dyno results for 1190

Irish bike mag put an 1190 on a dyno, 152 bhp and faultless, glitch free, curves for hp and torque.
