I think some questions were answered. Like whether Stoner was riding the Ducati at 100% and whether Rossi and Burgess could fix the Ducati's problems in 80 seconds, or really whether Stoner was a better rider during the 800 era than Rossi.

Far as I can tell, Rossi and Crutchlow are just about even in terms of riding the M1, but neither is where Lorenzo is; I suspect if you put Pedrosa and Marquez on an M1, Rossi would still be around where he is in the standings.

As you said, we will see, but a pattern is discernible.

It'll be a long summer break of stewing in unhappy juices for Pedrosa if he doesn't win Sachsenring and do well at Laguna. He says the plan is to win both.

I said he was done after the first race !
JLo is still a better title bet than Dani.

If the next 11 rounds go the way of the first 7, Pedrosa will be done all the way to his first WC.

I think you're missing Pecha's point.

Dani is still leading, while they're racing the tracks touted to favor the Yamaha's strengths.

Remember last season? When he hit the the Honda preferred tracks, he cleaned up. And JL didn't win, just kept pinging second places. He had enough of a lead to do that.

This year, there you've got VR, MM, and CC right there to take wins/points. Last year, only CS was the spoiler. And he was injured for a while too.

Statistically, if DP can hold the lead until the break, he's got it made.

Last year Germany was a Honda track. Remember the dani/ CS battle? I think the next few tracks favor him.

This is Dani's WC to lose. Besides the history of his performance the second half of last season, don't forget the engine issue for Yammie compared to Honda.

Marquez is the major threat to Dani, not JL and certainly not Rossi. As much as I would love to see MM get the championship his rookie year, I really think Dani deserves this one.

Holy crap did I just say that?

I think anyone is crazy to count out any of the top 3. I just hope we see no more injuries so this thing can play itself out in all it's glory. The way MM (with injuries) and VR rode this past weekend just means one thing to me. Shit Just Got Real.

No I'm not. We're all entitled to our opinions, and mine is that Pedrobot won't win it again.

Again?

Point is, a lot of people wrote off Pedrosa after the first round, and instead of learning the lesson that one mediocre result does not a disaster make, another 4th place has brought out a few doomsayers. My advice is to be consistent, don't wait for a mediocre result -- when/if he wins Sachsenring, keep saying he won't win, it should be good for a laugh.

I think this is Dani's year to win the Championship. He's riding smart and consistant.

He ain't done standing on that top step. I wouldn't count Marc out of another trip there either, Nor Lorenzo or the old bastard Rossi.
And I'll still keep rooting for Cal to step up there.

Heck I'm not even going to stop hoping for Edwards to snag his first.

But, I'm a crazy old fart.

All three races were great and that QP set up has been a great show the last two races.

I see four races remaining on the calendar where Jorge finished ahead of Dani last year: Silverstone (Jorge 1st; Dani 3rd), Misano (Jorge won; Dani DNF'); Phillip Island (Jorge 2nd; Dani crashed), and Laguna (Jorge 2nd; Dani 3rd).

Things are still looking good for Dani, but I hope Jorge is able to fight him to the end without problems from his engine allocation. Of course, a younger Spaniard (provided he keeps bouncing well when he crashes) just might come up the middle and claim the title for himself.

Pedrosa seemed psychologically defeated.
He was supposed to win the 2 previous races, but didn't.
He blew off a chance to improve his Qualifying time here.
He didn't look hungry for a win. MM was faster. Rossi and Crutchlow were faster. He damn near got beat by the one-armed man.
Perhaps if he was transfused with a pint of blood from Hector he could
get more fired up.
