I have never met Kipo and not sure if I had seen a pic of him prior to staying at the Blinman Pub but there is a pic of him up on the wall there and a reference to him riding naked through town. Somehow knew straight away that pic would be him. Hey Kipo the pub owes me an omlette as the cook never showed up in the morn, feel free to claim it :)

The term 'Legend' just doesn't seem good enough Pete.....

His dad was born in the pub, there's a Kipling family history book in a B&B up there, his grandmother lived in what's now the Rose Cottage on the southern end of town, and he has been pissed in the front bar, and out on the roadway, over 1000 times!!! And that doesn't include the incident of riding a postie bike down the main street naked.

Funny story the postie bike thing. In the background of the photo is his good mate Doc. Kipo got on the postie bike, tucked the tackle under him to avoid total embarrassment in front of the tourists etc (this was a charity event) but he didn't know that Doc had switched off the fuel.....the kick starting out the front of the pub was a classic apparently.....

What a great day for a ride, so PBee and I are off to Balaklava to meet up with Podge and Karen (from NT), who have bought a property. PBee's all over some dirt tracks, trails and tricks to get us there. Am looking forward to this.....

I'll be thinking of people like you, and others in this ADV community BR, as you work hard to pay your taxes, helping to fund my retirement, whilst I'm off soaking up the countryside.......

Adios amigos........
