Oddly enough I like soldering - so much I did it for living "several" summers back.

Blue Hill area may be one of the stops... or earlier, depends when Hunter starts to complain about riding the LC4 to Cape Breton

(disclaimer: since he's on such a "comfortable bike" we are going to cheat and truck the bikes to MA and stay a night with Librarian)

Things to consider;

Castine
Cape Rosier
Stonington
South and East Blue Hill
Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park
West Quoddy Head (easternmost point in the US)

North of Belfast you can pretty much hug the coast and take a lot of the side roads down to the fishing piers and stuff.

Rt.1 in the Searsport area is pretty crowded in the summer, lots of straphangers.

South of Augusta will be mostly larger cities.

The Bagaduce Lunch, that I pictured before, has the best fried clams on Earth, if you're into that sort of thing.

The new bridge in Bucksport has a cool observation deck in the west tower.

My brother and his wife own Blue Hill Disposal. If you run into trouble in that area I'm sure he wouldn't mind lending a hand.
