Yes, I should have been more clear there and use customs as an umrella for the whole process. As you said Jim, there ar many folks involved in getting something out and into your hands. My Mom moved here from England and when hands were greased her delevery time of her personal goods out of the warehousing areas went from ~5 weeks to 45min...

I experienced the same with the racecar a couple years ago.

Organized crime and unions like the Teamsters are pretty much the same thing.

Having done this for a few years (and with this shipment coming through NYC) I'm disappointed but not surprised.

It figures.

WOW!

I have imported several cars into Canada from the USA and travel frequently and holiday in the US. The only reason I have product shipped to a US Post Office is because UPS charge Stupid money for brokerage fees and things tend to take longer than they should. Example, if I order parts for my Triumph car from The UK they are on my door step in 3 days shipping is via Royal Air and cost about $80. Same package ordered from a US parts supplier would be $80 shipping $100 brokerage fee and 3 weeks delivery time.
I can drive down to Montana, hang out with some friends pick up some parts and be home for supper. It still cost me $80 fuel but its a nice drive.

Did I miss something, do we have a projected arrival date yet?

It was July 5th. We're on overtime now just waiting for everything to be cleared.

Hey Rob,

I'm still waiting for an email or information about the panniers. As I mentioned before I have already the rack from H & B.
I'm not sure which panniers fit on that rack.

I've been waiting for a pannier system like this to be available for the Tiger 800 since I bought the bike. These are what I've always pictured in my mind as how a pannier set should look. Truly incredible.

No doubt I'll be getting these, I just have the dilemma of deciding which sizes to go for

I love the way they all look it's such a tough decision whether to go 35L/45L or 35L/28L. This is driving me crazy trying to figure this out.

I'm assuming that the 28L will eventually get it's own inner bag too, right Rob?

Shipping Time to NH

Hey Rob - when the cases clear customs how many days do you think it will be until they arrive in NH? Just trying to adjust some plans...

Thanks!

It will be close, but I think we'll make it. I was speaking to the customs broker this week and they expect them to be clear in a day or so. With luck, we'll have them by the end of the week!

I'm pretty sure that you're talking about the 1190 Rack. Looks like they are FINALLY available, but we don't have all of the information we need. I need to know how far the hoop is away from the motorcycle on both sides (if it's equal or the exhaust side is further, and by how much) As soon as I have that, I can provide more info and setup a kit on the website for the bike.

Directions for install, BTW:

The smaller liner isn't immediately available. We're suggesting the 35L or "Small" liner will work as the 28L pannier is only 4CM different. I want to check this combo out before ordering anything smaller that might not work as well.

2 days in transit from us. If you need drilling, it might be another day or two to make that happen. We're planning on drilling them in the order in which the purchases were made - but if you're super tight on time, email me and I'll try to make something happen sooner.

The great news is that we overordered a little here, and we'll have some limited stock starting as soon as the pallets arrive!

Rob,

The torture test begins. So far they've stayed dry through a thunderstorm on my way up to Montana and they didn't even dent after a low speed drop today. They make great food storage in grizzly country, too
