Yeah, yeah, we got it allready. You made your point many posts ago.

ITSA Trials are not well supported in the wetern USA, as there no ITSA events or clubs here.

Because ITSA members are AMA members also. AHRMA members won't join AMA because they supported Ianucci. So ITSA/AMA is something they won't ride in in many cases as they must join AMA.... Complicated politics. Mostly AHRMA has problems getting along with anyone. A bunch of ancient slugbutts . Then add TI over in the Midwest into the mix (who also include all twinshocks as well as modern bikes) and AHRMA is in trouble. Don't lament their loss. It is inevitable. They never wanted trials anyway IMO.

FYI...ITSA does not require AMA membership, we are not AMA chartered. We are a stand alone organization.

Must be something new then in last couple of years. In TN, AMA membership was required as I recall because of insurance. Perhaps all clubs have a different deal on this or ITSA found a good group deal? Might just reflect the big growth and # of members making that insurance affordable now. Anyway, that is great to hear. No one likes to have to join 2 organizations to run an event. I do recall that ITSA membership was not required also so a rider could try an event and see if they liked it. Very thoughtful bunch.

I have always liked Bob G's layouts. I trashed the tank on my Dick Mann B40 goofing off with he and Dustin one day many years ago. ITSA might be the way to go.
Truthfully, I became disillusioned with vintage trials quite a while before I quit. The stress of laying them out really ate into me, too much bitching, not enough help. Everyone just thinks that the sections just appear out of thin air. Sorry, I'll stop whining now.

The idea behind ITSA seems spot on, and there is a possibility of them starting to run in Europe next year. Organisations such as the AMA, AHRMA, and here in the UK the ACU, are primarily concerned with making money, and as such do not have the best interests of motorcycle sport at heart.

ITSA may well become very much like the organisations mentioned above in time, but at the moment it provide as fresh new outlook on an area of motorcycle sport, which has been blighted by the likes of AHRMA and ACU.

It's a small group of riders spread out over a large geography and unfortunately there sometimes seems to be as many sanctioning organizations as trials riders, with the usual resultant political bickering...amongst the modern crowd anyway! The vintage scene is pretty cohesive fortunately. Some vintage classes are run with modern events in places, otherwise the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group (CVMG) has been involved with such for over 25 years, with the landscape changing much over that time from British heavyweights and Spanish two-strokes through to the later twinshocks...which have been accomodated for some time now. http://www.rocler.qc.ca/ariane/What%20is%20Motorcycle%20Trials.htm
