Delete All Subscriptions?

I never paid much attention to subscriptions and now realize I have 90+ pages of them. Is there an easy way to "Delete All" - selecting them all in each page, and then deleting would have to be done 90+ times.

Tried the "Delete Folder" process in Edit Folders, but this doesn't seem to do anything.

Thanks,

- Mark

That gives you your subscriptions, but how do you get rid of them all as a batch? I've got 90+ pages of them and the only way it appears I can delete them is to select them in page groups, and delete them. I'd have to do this 90+ times.

here's the exact wording at the bottom of my latest subscription email update:

i've heard your subs get deleted when you are banned, so if all else fails you could always just go wild over in jomomma for a while

Now that's a plan!

I don't get email notifications, but I think if you click the the link it just takes you (again) where you can only unsubscribe one page's worth at a time. Maybe I'll do a couple pages a day - it will only take a month or two. Just surprised that there is no way to completely clear your subscriptions with one command.

Thanks for the help.

Why do you need to clear them?

I guess I don't, but I never look at them past a few weeks and I got to believe that having several thousand subscriptions takes it's toll on performance. I'd also like to keep them cleaned out fromt his point forward, so I can use my subscription list as things I'm actively tracking, not an archive of everything I've responded to.

I set up a separate folder for "archive" stuff that I know I want to find easily in the future. There's only maybe two dozen things in there out of the bazillion subs that I have. I also have a separate folder for epic trip reports.

I have wondered about the server load with lots of subscriptions. Perhaps the boss could weigh in on that?

BTW -- I do enjoy it when an old thread pops up with a new question, or an epic report gets bumped a year or two after the fact.

Server gets REALLY loaded when there are lots of subscriptions, expecially the ones with email notification. There was one person, a mod nonetheless, who changed his email addy but never updated it on the site. He had hundreds of subscriptions and all the emails were generating mail errors and it caused a real mess!

I'm surprised there is not some kind of aging feature. I would guess the default behaviour that most people use is:

1. Auto-subscribe to any thread they post to.
2. Never bother to clean them out.

That would seem to make things ugly for the server.

My default is never to subscribe unless I specifically want to
