2013 Historic Races - Laguna Seca

It's in two weeks!! Who's goin??

this year, I've taken Friday and Monday off so the wife and folks are heading up there on Thursday night. This year is going to be interesting - my wife is going to be 8 months pregnant. I've managed to procure special parking on the infield and I bought one of those folding chairs with the foot rest....

from last year.....

Cant wait to be back at Laguna!

I'm definitely going, with my buddy and my brother. This will be the first time in about 10 years that I've been able to go. Love the whole event, plus with the concours and the auctions, the streets just get littered with some unbelievably sweet cars. Can't wait!

That week and Motorcycle GP weekend were my favorite weeks when I lived in Monterey California.

Moto GP was great! Just went on Saturday, but still loved it. Cannery Row afterward was awesome! But yeah...the historic races are fantastic.

Ive been to the Moto GP races a few times and there is just too many dammed people. No place to sit, you have to wait in line for everything, you have to pay to get into the grandstands.....
Even the year the all us ADV people worked the event, it sucked even worse!

When I was a kid, it was much more prolific. There was a huge decline through the 90's and it's on it way back, I think!
