Nice little ride this weekend.

On Winter Hill.

Parked up having a coffee and this fella turned up on a nice 350 BSA. No stand so he leaned it against the wooden post. His bike got more attention than all the RR's, MV's, Ducati's etc in the car park.

Just got my NCX yesterday, I can't wait to get my TKC/K60 tire set on it and throw on a skid plate and crash bars. This thing handles like a dream and really nice feel when standing. I'm 6'2 so I tilted the bars back to give a slightly higher grab. I'm really enjoying the ride so far, it's buttery smooth and reminds me a lot of when I test rode the Triumph Tiger 800xc which is like a magic carpet with that inline triple.

Let the mods begin!

I love those photos, very inspiring. I can't wait for my bike to be that dirty. ;)

I have a pair of K60's on my Moto Guzzi V7 "scrambler" right now and I love them. Amazing lifespan!

Ya they ( K60 ) last a long time on a low HP bike !!!.
I expect to get about 10,000 miles from the rear and 8,000 from the front.
I run the same combo on my wifes GS500 and they are even less worn with the same milage.

lowering my NC700 question

If I lower the forks and seat 1" does the very bottom of the bike loose 1" of ground clearance? Or does it not work that way because of the linkage? I'm thinking of lowering my NC700 but want to keep an eye on the ground clearance if I go off road a bit. Thanks, Rj

Yup, pretty set on the NC700X as my next bike. As soon as Honda offers a white one in the states I'm going to take a long hard look at my trusty KLR. Lol!
