Yes. One of those...
Is that one yours?

I always peruse the short wing Pipers, to see what all's out there.
I used to have a PA22/20-150 many moons ago.
Fast, comfortable, and fun to fly aircraft.
Mine:

Circa 1994...

Very pretty little machine Mr Flylow. We had the yellow one till a year or so ago. A very under rated machine, carry 2 more people 25 knots quicker and $50,000 cheaper than a Supercub.
There's some really cheap buys around North America these days, you can get a flying Tripacer/Pacer for just over $20,000. Not much else that has a load capacity of 850lbs and cruises at an honest 100 knots for that sort of money.

I've been pondering Onexes...
It looks like it would get similar Pacer-like speed, and handling, in a fairly easy to build package.
Anyone have, or had one before? Likes/dislikes?
How about the Areovee engine? experience with that?

160hp but there's not much difference between that and the 150hp. You could buy another Pacer/Tripacer and fly it for 20 years for the price it would cost you to build a kit machine.

I doubt it, everyone knows the "My wheels are bigger than your wheels will ever be" mob's aircraft will fly backwards at 37 knots into a 32 knot tailwind. Always wondered what use a stripped out Supercub is beside short landing completion's. Rumour has it they have to empty their pockets of change and evacuate their bowls prior to starting those comps

Sometimes an aircraft just looks right. This guy does powerline patrol and and stops in from time to time. I'm not certain why he's got the tricycle gear. Anyway, here it is...a Found FBA-2C3 Expedition. Powered by a Lycoming IO-580, according to Wikipedia

Yes...it's a four-door!

I don't know enought about aerodynamics to comment on the wing's why's and wherefore's, but it is somehow very pretty, with vortex generators across the top and a sharp taper at the ends. The shadows in all the pictures give you an idea as to it's overall shape.
