I sincerely hope that Aprilia puts more effort into the Tuareg project than Vander's photo. I'm not expecting a miracle, but that photo looks like a Dorsoduro with a faring and hard bags. The bike at the very least needs a 19" front wheel and a narrower rear wheel for better tire selection. There's sooooo much potential in that engine........

I believe it will be a MultiStrada type bike to take advantge of the 135HP engine together with high torque. 17"x17" wheels....No 19" front wheel....

Most likely I will be trading my 07Tuono as by that time my knees will need less bending...

And that won't be a bad thing. Kepp the MTS a bit honest.

Pity about the new bike though. Sounds like Aprilia is "doin' a Suzuki".

I hope not.

Cheers

I would love a multistrada version of my 750. All you would really need is a bigger fuel tank. Scorpion trails, and a decent skid plate.

Shiver?

I test-rode the Shiver a couple of times back to back with the Dorsoduro. It didn't speak to me the way the DD did.

I've got 2 dealers here who say that the riding experience is virtually identical,
that the Shiver is more comfortable, but the DD pulls better from lower revs.

I can't confirm this since I've only tried DD..

I would ride the shiver and decide for your self. I think the riding position is much different; the weight/brakes/suspension are much different. I can ride circles within the lines of two parking spots on the DD but not on the shiver or the hyper or the G650X - or anything for that matter.

I will grant you that the shiver has a fuel bigger tank and a plusher seat. That thing under the motor is not, IMHO, a skid plate.

No new Tuareg yet, but have any of you nay-sayers compared the predictions here to the eventual 1200 Caponot?
