But I remember you may have learned that during the Briar trail ride?
That was the worst day of me owning my WR250R. I was sure I was going to kill myself before we got out of those wetlands. Sprained ankle, thorns all in my arms and legs. Logs and mud galore. I won't ever be going back to explore that place.

I always check Amazon for stuff. In fact I looked at my purchase history over the past couple years on there the other day, and it made me realize I have spent waaayyyy to much money on that site.

On a complete side note, if anyone is in need of any furniture I moved back in April and have stuff that I'm not using anymore. It's not the nicest stuff, but to anyone that needs some or all of it it's yours. I have a coffee table in horrible shape, a dresser and vanity in average condition, and a square kitchen table that's in great condition that is bar stool height. All are dark wood colors. If that interests anyone let me know, and I'll upload a picture of what you want.

Cycra Handguards

Burton I've got a pair of Cycra handguards that you can have if you can find a way to mount them. I might have something for the bar ends but you'd need to find/buy bar mounts for your 7/8 bars. They're the composite kind and they do have a crack. But they'll still protect your hands and levers until you can get a better set. Let me know if you're interested.

Ok, thanks for the offer! I will let you know. I will probably end up buying a new pair off DaddyGreen soon.

You should try the ones I have. They are just slightly too small for me. I wear 12. I can wear them but they have zero room and are not comfy.

They could be yours for a very low low price.

If you come by for bash plates you can check them out.

What model are they? I'm looking at a few. I may end up buying a pair off DaddyGreen.

After the insight on the Ebay hand guards I may cancel my order. The guy still hasn't sent me an invoice so I will probably make a claim to cancel the transaction and leave him neutral feedback. You would think 2 emails and a call to give someone your money, and they would send you an invoice.
What size foot do you have? Have a pair of Thor t-30s that are either a 12 or 13 that I do not use.

I don't think anything has been planned, but it looks like I'll be running bike errands so I'd be happy to do an RTE.

Semper, what boots do you have? The 12-13 will definitely be too big for me.

Question George Washington Forest starting point?

I'm looking to head out for some forest road riding in the GWNF this weekend with my son but have only gone to the official offroad/ATV trails before where you can ride non-street-legal bikes. Now, I'm just looking for forest/fire roads as close to Richmond as possible and the bikes will be street legal dual sports.

Is there a good starting point where you can leave a truck and ride Shoe Creek? It looks like that is near Waynesboro and wouldn't be a bad drive from RVA. Any coordinates/help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
BD

Why don't you ride out Saturday with me and Jeremy. And if I parked somewhere it'd be the remote sites off reservoir road.

Meadow Dr from 56 which is the top of shoe creek has a parking area. You can also park at the wayside at swamping camp rd and 60 to ride some of the roads between 60 and 56.

There are more campsites and parking off panther falls Dr but that seems to be all very easy gravel. I mean Teeter rode them all faster than me on my wee, and he was on a fz6.
