You cant do this on a BMW without some sort of bead breaker and a strap to re-seat the bead for re-inflation. On this bike all that is needed is a couple of tyre levers and a pump. Piece of cake I love this bike more and more each day.
Sure you can, just have to put a tube in it.

Keep the great updates coming!!!

What difference in design accounts for that?

A very subtle one. The bead on the BMW wheel is slightly more raised than on the Yam.

The downside is: if you have a catastrophic deflation, the tyre can come off the bead. It happened to me on a Spanish motorway at about 60mph. I had a sticky worm come out .

The good thing was, I stuck another worm in, connected the pump and it just inflated.

Good to know.

Never heard of a sticky string letting loose, that must have been a puckering moment...

Some pics from this summer

I'm worried that I haven't been sharing enough... even though I enjoy reading y'alls banter! Here are some highlights from the last few months. I've had the bike for 15 months and logged almost 18,000 miles. On my third set of tires now, trying the Tourance EXPs ... love them in the twisties!

I guess that kinda makes up for rarely posting those 15 months. :)

No shit. That was like a near death experience when your life flashes before your eyes.

That blue bike goes well with everything.

It is almost done. The led light are missing. I must get them soon, but today I have installed my RS4 Yoshimura!

I did that for my Blog: http://derysdiary.tumblr.com

More to come about the sound!

Just changed my front Heidenau yesterday and I sure needed more than a couple of tire irons especially breaking the bead. Had to use a large C clamp and a shovel. You must be one strong MFer.
