Damn harrowing Todd. Fingers crossed for you.

Movie night sounds GREAT, but... ( i have a big butt)....... my schedule is full pretty much til november....
The only possible weekend is the first w/e in Oct. I am planning on going to NC for NottaRALLY. That's the w/e of the Shen so I was gonna go solo. I am about 75% in for notta... so there is some hope that weekend.
I am saving Joe Dirt to watch with Kevin and Stacy....

You keep asking when we are coming up, but until the conditions improve there I just don't see how it's possible. Maybe we should wait until grass clipping flinging season is over. Despite how much we enjoy seeing you guys it's just not worth taking crazy chances.

I passed 25 instances of grass flung in the road today. You can thank me later for only posting 2 of them.

It's gonna be there. I'll also have a really good projector and audio system. IT's what I do.

Cafe at the Cafe

I made a command decision to blow off work for a couple hours to get out and enjoy the day. The Map was today's route.

This is the famous (1) Mount Victoria two hour a day open for business Post Office... Yeah I know.

Then made the decision trying not to ride any of Route 301 to get to my destination... failed a little due to that you can't cross at the intersection of 257... I did 100 yards of 301 for the whole trip North. Here is (2) one of the placed where John Wilkes Booth hid after shooting Lincoln. This link is the whole journey... he eventually made it all the way to AP Hill VA before this happened... In April of 1865, after President Abraham Lincoln was assassinated, two thousand Union troops searched for the killer: an actor named John Wilkes Booth. On April the 26th at 4:00 AM, soldiers surrounded a tobacco barn on Garrett Farm, near Port Royal in Virginia. They had information that Lincoln’s assassin was inside the barn. A man surrendered, but it was not John Wilkes Booth, but 21-year-old David Herold, known to be one of Booth’s co-conspirators. Lieutenant Edward Doherty decided to smoke Booth out by setting the barn ablaze. The soldiers were under strict orders to take Booth alive. But as the troops moved in, a sergeant shot a man who was hiding inside. Two soldiers dragged the body from the inferno, but was it really John Wilkes Booth? Historian Nate Orlowek doesn't think so: “There is tremendous physical evidence that proved beyond a doubt that John Wilkes Booth, in reality, was not killed by the Federal Government Officers as they claimed. In fact, he lived until January 13th, 1903, when he died in Enid, Oklahoma territory.”

Next Stop (3)Founded in 1641, St. Ignatius is one of the oldest Catholic Parishes in continuous service in the United States. Here is all this info / fluff

Then my home away from home (4) where a few local bikers were hanging out talking politics (local LaPlata) and all the places we have traveled by motorcycle. Ended up spending 4 hours

Sign by the Starbucks... GW was there in 1771. My brother from another mother.

Then off to the auto parts store (5) for some conventional oil for Annie and rode 301 home.

Oh yeah... if you wanted to roll back to this ride yesterday... I added a video I forgot. There is a surprise if you are a blind squirrel looking for a nut?

Left around 10AM and home at 3PM... whoops
