78kms into a 100km mtb ride.

My mates look knackered but I felt worse on the Singlespeed.

Our lunch stop was nice though.

You have a good eye for detail. I'll fix that. Had the fork off recently being serviced and didn't notice that when I put it back together.

Only concern is the claim to be California based but parts come from Taiwan/China....

EDIT: Forgot to mention Jamis and Brezzer appear to have some lookers with good reviews!

Jamis

Amazing how many "pro " shops dont even get that right even when the fork makers include guides to make it easy
its just asking to get snagged or to get dropped on a rock

Marin makes very good stuff.

Generally speaking, Taiwanese fabricators are world class when it comes to bicycles. China and Taiwan are like polar opposites. Taiwan = decades of investment in the fab infrastructure. China = cheap factories run by monkeys.

Jamis

The Jamis, being steel, will ride nicer than aluminum.

No not yet but wasn't really riding terrain where the suspension was using much travel. Had the seat post at full height as well.

Was going through my Go Pro photos and found this one

Mud and SPD pedals still don't mix well.

just bought a Diamond Back Sorrento with a ridgid fork for $20.00.
Bottom bracket may be trashed but it will become my third single speed rehab project.

If that is the seat post fully extended, maybe 29er's are just not for you..

As a rule you want to have your bars at the most level with your seat, if not lower..
